Police ram runaway electric iPace after brakes fail on M62 (debunked)

It seems quite bizarre to go to such lengths and risk writing off a car, in order to possibly escape a speeding fine/points. There has to be more to it for someone to cause a major incident involving many police vehicles, who are also risking injury and vehicular damage.

Just why?

I think you are both right. But what a monstrous situation to put other drivers and the police into. I hope he gets a jail term.

Not a dicky-bird since it splashed in October 2023. I think that is quite telling.

Here's the one and only post he made on the issue.

It doesn't come over particularly genuine to me. And the guy apparently had a reputation as a prankster. But I don't believe he's been charged with anything.

That was a very strange one. Juggling phone calls to his wife, and then the police for assistance, and then ending up with no damage to his car, after apparently having to crash into a vehicle. Quite a puzzle.

Luckily it runs in a sandbox and will stop every time credentials are required, but you can automate that part too without an AI

I can't afford to keep up repayments on my car.

Shall I:

A. Go to a debt councillor?

or

B. Pretend my car's brakes and accelerator are malfunctioning, drive at excessive speed on a motorway, risking others, get the police involved and then claim the vehicle was faulty in order to avoid the remaining payments?
