I just tell Alexa to turn the TV off which it does then turns it off via a smart socket

Used the preheat windscreen two days in a row now, and the heated seats option - all from the remote app on phone. Works so much better than the MG4, and very little battery consumption.

Car warm as toast and a clear windscreen.

Interesting to see what it does with a much heavier frost....

That explains why my heated seats where still cold yesterday then .
I first requested "preheat the cabin" from the App and it returned as a "OK - request successful".
Then did the same thing for the heated seats, it also returned "OK - Successful".
But the seating did not work ?.
So, it appears that the car can only process the first request you make, NOT any other following
requests, even though the App reports them as OK - "successful".
You have to decide which single feature is your major priority.
I tend to think preheating the cabin, then manually switching on the seats / steering wheel heater if required, when you enter the car maybe the best fit for the frosty glass winter months ?.

Can't see why you would need both on at the same time.. heating cabin for 10 mins warms up seats and steering wheel too.

I tried something similar to this for the first time (new car) yesterday and the heating, rear screen heater and heated steering wheel all came on. The day before, heating and heated seats (the only selections made) had failed to activate!

BUT, on this second occasion, having made my first choice (cabin heating) I made sure to check I saw the "Successful" message and then waited a few seconds before selecting the heated steering wheel. Ditto for the rear screen.

I wonder whether the car or app cannot fully process instructions if they are given in a "continuous stream" but require a short pause to allow the first to be actioned and the user to wait a few seconds before the second is requested, and so on? If so, it would be "interesting" to see what happens if one wanted to have more than 3 of these settings to start at the same time.

That’s a bit like saying, why would you want the cabin heater on at the same time as the heated seats ?.
The facility are there, so you should have the option ( or not ) to use them.
Each to there own I guess.

So we are doing ourselves no favours. By having EVs, we reduce global warming, meaning it's more likely that our cars will freeze up and our wipers stick.

Yeah mine works fine so far. You can't have Air Con and seats, its either or. If it don't work then it's a warranty issue.....

I have no issues with mine. I remotely switch on the heating and steering followed by the Aircon and they are all working when I get into the car. I also add the front and rear demister if I need to.

This is normal, the bottom lines are the radio antenna

I’ve noticed my rear screen heater is not clearing the bottom part of the screen, is this normal.
