HI,
We have a 2022 ZS EV LR.
Yesterday we tried to charge at a site on the Woolpit Interchange off the A14. Half a dozen CCS charge points. When we arrived, we discovered that the plugs on the charging cables (not the chargepoints themselves) were branded "Tesla", and the instructions led on details for Tesla drivers. But they included details for non-Tesla vehicles. There were two non-Tesla vehicles already charging - a Merc and an Openreach van.
However, the CCS plug was short of pins in the circular part (I think there were only two). When we tried to use a chargepoint, up came a message "unsupported vehicle" on our dashboard. Tried another point, same result. I've subsequently seen that Zapmap says it is a Tesla public supercharger location, but there was no branding to that effect obviously visible on site.
Although I've never done it, I had understood that our car could now be charged from Tesla chargers. I'm sure there are threads here from people who've done it. And the site was clearly not Tesla-only. Am I missing something? Do we need an adapter, or do we need to register somewhere? Or a software update? It would be useful for future reference.
Thanks
