My local council is putting loads of new chargers in and this one just came on line.

Considering the same charger one street over is 54p I am guessing this is a mistake but as someone who relies 100% on public charging it would be rude to not take advantage before they notice.

Such a shame that my MG ZS EV gen1 can't accept a 22kW Charge...:(

Good spot.

But this will charge at 7kW overnight which is all a lot of cars will take. 8 hours or so and you'd get a full or nearly full battery, so why does it need to be any faster?

I had issues getting a charge started a few weeks ago, the car would only pull 3.6 kW or so and the EVSE app showed 0.0 kW being pulled? It's a "22 kW" charger but it splits that 11/11 over two ports, so it becomes pretty useless for my MG4. Anyway, I was there and the bays were empty, when I got back the battery had gone up from 63% to 66%, but the app billed me for 0 kWh, so basically a free charge.

Perfect for my 77kWh model with a 10-11kW On Board Charger.

But often the "chargers" will only split the power if there are two vehicles using it.

That's what I thought happened last time I used it, but it did the same thing this time with just me charging. Some people report the same issue on plugshare. I'll take a very slow charge for free though haha

I have the MG5 FL with onboard 11kW AC. I always get the max the car can take on these. In reality it is about 9.5 as shown on the app. For quick maths it’s just under 20% an hour.

PS still set at 20p so I'm happy.
