I thought it was changed to 230v to harmonise with the EU, which was raised from 220 to 230?
LOL... only on paper; most of the UK grid still runs around 240V. They just increased the tolerances. Our old specification of 240V +/- 6% (so 226V to 254V) was changed in 1995 for EU harmonisation to be nominally 230V +10% / -6% (so 216V to 253V).I thought it was changed to 230v to harmonise with the EU, which was raised from 220 to 230?
I have a 100A fuse but the charger has a limit of 31.8A according to Zappi. Nominal voltage is 230V so that makes around 7.3kWChargers will charge at a specific current. And, from Watts law, we know that P = V x I (power = volts x amps). So variations of power delivered via an EVSE will be a linearly related to grid voltage, which itself could be as low as 216V and as high as 253V, though more commonly around 240V in the UK.
