R 21 infotainment compatability with YT music

Hi all,

Hope you're all OK and enjoying weekend.

I'm a new MG4 SE owner in UK, just had it 2 weeks ago and it's actually brilliant, my few questions are:

1. This is the infotainment software version that came with it, R21 I believe, shouldn't it be the newest as the car was just very freshly built last month !
When I try to update it on the screen it says something like no new updates,
Any clue?

2. It is almost not working with YouTube music, can't see my library or liked music,
Anyone had this before?

3. What if I like to hear some mp3 lectures from my iphone on the car, how can I do it?
Which app?

2. I don't understand what you mean. YouTube music? Why would you expect that to work (unless you mean via Android Auto / Apple CarPlay)?

3. App? Using AA/CP? Or playing direct from a USB pendrive?

There are no OTA updates; a dealer has to install them.

2. Yes I meant You Tube music via Apple Carplay, it's not working well in my car, not sure if that's the norm?
Although Spotify works well.

2. Yes I was asking if there is an app over Apple CP to play mp3's direct from my phone,
I assume music app can?

Re. 3. I would assume so. On my Android phone I use the Musicolet app to play MP3 and other music files from my phone over Android Auto.
