Random noise

Our new MG ZS ev occasionally makes a clicking noise when driving. This sounds like a relay moving, door locking or a shutter operating. It seems to come from the dashboard and happens randomly. The dealer advise us this is the Road Angel taking a picture as a result of a bump on the road or vibration ? Has anybody else experienced this noise? On a typical local journey it could happen once or twice. Any advice would be welcome, thank you.

Hi and welcome to the ZS EV, if you search on the forums for steering wheel noises when turning You’ll see quite a few people have posted regarding this. If they are not relevant than a quick call to the dealership in person maybe better.

Hello, thank you for your reply. By checking the sd card we have proved that the noise is the Road Angel Halo camera taking a still picture. Certain bumps in the road can trigger this, and in fact so can shutting the door. I guess the noise is more noticeable because the car is so quiet. Also not every bump in the road triggers the camera, I guess it needs to be a certain type of motion. Thanks to anybody who looked at this.
