rapid knocking

For the second time in as many weeks, I've experienced a rapid knocking that I can feel through my left foot when resting against the foot rest (RHD) while parked with the car still 'on', so feels like it's coming from somewhere near the bottom of the car, towards the front. Has anyone else experienced this and know what it might be?

The AC compressor is known to have a loud tick/knock

Possibly the battery cooling pump?

If the aircon definitely isn't running it seems likely it's the pump that circulates coolant to the motor / inverter and the charger. That runs most of the time on mine, only hear it as a slight hum, but it is just ahead of where your feet are in the under bonnet area.
