Hi could you guys that have received your IM6 please give a real world idea of what to expect for the long range and the performance models.

Do you think it will be any more accurate than this...

Bjorn Nyland, one of the OG (and most experienced and consistent) Norwegian YouTubers did some tests on the IM6. Safe to say it's rather thirsty...

Today I started my day at 80% charge in my Long Range one. Did 2 journeys. 11.4 miles round between Wigan and Newton and a trip to Liverpool (48.3 miles). I am down to 57%. That's ~2.6 mi/kWh. All driven in ECO mode.

On the face of it that doesn't seem that great, what mix of roads were you on? Even if it was all motorway that's not great efficiency and we are not into proper winter temps yet

Yup, not great. At some point on the motorway it was showing as low as 2 mi / kWh. It started climbing (still whilst on M58), but I was a bit shocked to see it that low. Looking at the temp for my area at the time it was ~8°C.

It was ~34 miles on the motorway, pretty much constant at 70 mi/h. There was no traffic. The rest was urban <40 mi/h.

Short journeys are always poorer for range as a larger proportion of the power is used to heat/cool the car.

To be fair I wouldn't class the 48 mile journey as short and as @rokfor2000 said at one point it was showing as low as 2 m/kWh.
Not great for this time of year and 70mph
The clue on the 48 miles is '34 miles on the motorway, pretty much constant at 70 mi/h’. Other reports over 200 miles plus journeys are of around 3.2m/kwh

Each to their own but on the face of it it's poor efficiency and similar to the what car test London to Cornwall (aware that was a different model)

I'm doing a bit longer one tomorrow. 144 miles to Tesla's superchargers at Gloucester. Pretty much 100% motorway with a slow down in Birmingham and occasional variable speed limit. Then onwards to Bath. 192 miles in total. I've setup a pre-heat before I go, so let's see.

I'm setting of at 4am, which means:
a) It'll be cold
b) My brain might not be 100% thinking about efficiency at such an ungodly hour so I might forget to record some details 🤕
