rear view black plastic removal

I have a dash cam by the rear view mirror and the power suppy has been put behind the large black plastic cover and run behind the roof lining along the windscreen, does anyone know how the black cover comes off ie is it just pull away from glass or slide down? the reason Im asking is I what to change the dash cam and the power connector is different so need replacing.

I just prized the cover off - it then comes apart in two halves split vertically. Easy enough to fiddle back in place once you route the cable(s) up around the side.
