I didn't realise (until last night) that EV's / some EV's reduce their charge rate when just charging via a home 7kW charger (i.e. not just on rapid DC chargers) when the temp is low and the SOC high

Is this common to all EV's or just certain makes? Wondering if those out there that have experience of different makes/models have observed this behaviour? (Calling @LenEV2016 :) )

I charged on a public 7kW yesterday and only got half power for most of it starting at 29%. It did ramp up eventually when the battery had warmed up.

You rang!
Yeah I've noticed it before, batteries hate the cold, especially LFP, it's just one of those things.

That's of course what the intelligent battery heating slider is for, but it's then a trade off for the power consumed by the heating as opposed to the increased power for the charge on a fast charge, and speed / power on a rapid charge.

Yeah not worth bothering with on AC

With mine, it started charging at 7kW and then decreased as the SOC increased. Makes sense but wasn't expecting it.
