To see when the brake lights operate under regeneration, I unclipped the high level brake light so I could watch it in the mirror whilst driving.
At Level 1 with gentle deceleration, it hardly comes on. Level 2 only when you suddenly decelerate and Level 3 more often as you would expect.
I also notice when I use the brake pedal to stop at traffic lights, the hill start/handbrake engages when I've stopped, so I can release the brake pedal, but the brake lights stay on, even though my foot is off the brake pedal. It goes off when I touch the accelerator to move on.

That’s answered a question that’s bugging me awesome thanks looks like a nice dark beer 🍺.

Yes, the beer is Tom Long, taken at Stroud Brewery. I visit frequently when staying with my Daughter 😊
Lovely,we brew beer in Australia we had a dark lager and at the moment ageing a stout it’s 6 months in the bourbon barrel so far.
My sons own Bass point brewery in Shellharbour NSW and retired me do deliveries lol .

Thanks for that, I've wanted to know since I got the car. 👍

You might fnd this thread informative as well

I wonder what that means with our 3 driving modes?
In the quoted thread, siteguru says this.

"Agreed. And 1.3 m/s² equates to roughly -7% regen in the MG4. :)

Therefore regen level 1 probably won't cause the brake lights to activate, but levels 2, 3 and Adaptive will."
