Hi all,

I was just changing my lights in the cabin to led and unfortunately I must have misjudged the angle I was inserting one of them because the lamp holder unclipped/snapped and sunk into the unit!!

I was just wondering how difficult it would be to drop the sunglass holder unit to fix it?
I can see two screws when I open the sunglasses bit but unsure if that's the first step.

Please bear in mind that I am only really able to use one hand.

Thank you!

Yes, removing those 2 screws is the first step to removing the whole roof light unit, once the screws have been removed, the front of the unit drops down, you then need to push it forwards towards the windscreen to slide a couple of hooks/tabs from behind the headlining.

Good luck. 😊

Managed to fix it without taking the light unit down. I used some jewellery pliers to pull the connector back into place. Luckily it snapped back easily and wasn't broken. Both lights in and working, phew .

I ended up having to remove the sunglasses holder when replacing the globes, was very easy and being able to hold the socket in place gave me more confidence in getting a good fit. unscrewing it was probably the quickest part of the operation.
