Just had a windscreen damaged by a stone and it will need to be replaced. However, there appears to be a backlog on MG ZS Hybrid screens and although I have an appointment with my 'local' (36 miles) insurance company's preferred supplier for the 28th May, they now say there is little chance of them having the actual windscreen in from MG.

Anyone else having similar problems or, even better, know of somewhere with a windscreen in stock. OK, only kidding.

I'm really happy with the car. The one concern I had before buying were the online complaints about parts availability which, I was assured by the dealer, were mainly from the competition. Clearly not and very disappointing. MG really have to up their game over parts. The cars are great value for money but if they are off the road for something as simple as a windscreen they will lose credibility.

Parts availability has always been a weak area for MG and I don't see it ever getting much better.

In March I got my ZS Hybrid + shunted less than 24 hours from leaving the dealership, I went through my insurance to fix the damage to the rear bumper, when the car was assessed for what parts to be replaced I was told that the bumper was in stock but the black plastic insert would take 2 months due to a back log. In the end everything has been fixed.
