An interesting subject and some great and well considered replies. My view is that the overtaken driver has the impression of either a safe or and aggressive overtake. Sounds obvious,but both parties have responsibility to ensure that an accident does not happen, not just the one in the ‘wrong’.

There really is no good reason that an EV should be, or is ‘punished’, that is all in the EV drivers mind, but if it does happen in one type of car then that driver should look at their own driving methods in that car. ie range anxiety etc.
Many people who get overtaken at all , describe the overtaker as’aggressive’ no matter how safely it has been done, so, as has been suggested, introspection is called for.
