S6 Dash cam fitting using OBD port.

I guess that makes sense but ultimately as soon as the 12v battery goes below a certain voltage it'll cut power to the camera. My thoughts are, IF the internal battery stays fully charged when being powered by the 12v battery while the vehicle is being used, it should last in parking mode/standby for a couple of hours on just the internal battery. That'll be more than enough to cover the car on short parks, such as food shopping, but obviously not if being left all day for work or worse, in an airport carpark during a holiday. If that's true that'll be more than sufficient for my needs.
X power, airport car park with the camera, numerous occasions, no issues.

How does your dashcam come on for a normal drive? I turned the ignition on and the dashcam doesn’t come on until I gave it a nudge then it became, I’m guessing recording in parking mode (protected/padlock).

Parking mode uses movement, mine pretty much comes on instantly when car moves, tested it for a month or more with screen save4 turned off so I could monitor it.
I didn’t move the car, only turned the ignition on. Sounds like the cam will only come on once the car starts moving.
