Sandicliffe MG, Nottingham - Car not fit for use and being taken to court

The cynic in me thinks that the whole point of the OP is to generate hits for negative publicity about Sandicliffe.

Who, in normal chat, would repeat the name of the dealer 9 times in one post, as well as the subject?

Me thinks that is just to get a higher search engine ranking.

And why is the OP posting about "his brother and wife". Don't they have a computer or mobile between them? I could understand the OP posting on behalf of someone else if he was already registered on here - but that's not the case. It was his first post on behalf of someone else, with no detail at all.

Personally I don't think a dealer should be referenced in this manner on a public forum (however bad the dealer may or may not have behaved) without any detail to back those accusations up.

Something doesn't ring right to me 🤷‍♀️

Looking forward to the outcome of this court case, will keep an eye on it . The original post should give details of what was wrong with the car.

Just spent half an hour looking at pending county court cases pending. Couldn’t find anything pertaining to Sandicliffes. It would seem very strange for a barrister to be found at a County court. Also no mention of trading standers. And it’s taken best part of 3 years to mention this topic. This expensive and lengthy court case should be at Nottingham Crown court . And still no mention of what faults the car has.

UPDATE

The court hearing is scheduled at The County Court at Nottingham, Nottingham Justice Centre, Carrington Street,
NG2 1EE at 10.30am on Tuesday 1st July 2025.

A barrister will be representing Sandicliffe at the court hearing.

Is this claim on the Small Claims track, or another track (like the Fast track)? That matters as regards the level of legal representation someone may engage ... if it's on the Fast track then the Defendant (should they win) may well be able to claim the costs of their legal representation; if it's on the Small Claims track then hiring a barrister could be money down the drain.
