Satnav??? New to Mg4

I have just swapped over from a 5 to a 4 (yesterday) and have begun to play with the various features. So far I am completely stumped with the inbuilt SatNav. It shows the map on the screen OK, but how do I enter new routes? There is nothing in the handbook, and I can't find anything to help on the Web. Before you ask, no I don't have a smartphone so using that is not an option. Any help would be most welcome. Is there a good guide somewhere that I just haven't found?

you can use voice control to ask for navigation, it will ask where do you want to go. There's a search icon on the screen which allows you to enter a destination.There are two handbooks one general and one that covers navigation and infotainment

There is a manual for the car and the infotainment system in the infotainment system.

Many thanks to all. After a bit more poking around and looking at various manuals I think I have it sorted enought to start using it - I am due to take a mainland visit soon.

You can also send a destination to the car from the iSmart app (including a delayed start time). It then appears in the messages section

Unfortunately, the voice recognition doesn’t speak Welsh. It won’t take me to Dwygyfylchi or Llanfairfechan or Rhosllanerchrugog. Or the village where I actually live, which is Ysceifiog.

Yes I guess that might be a problem, although if you set up 'home' that could work.

I didnt realise anyone actually uses the inbuilt sat nav … i tried it a few times but it was deadful. And why put up with that when google maps exist ?

It's hardly dreadful. It's not bad at all , it's on par with other factory fit navs . I don't plug my phone into the car so find it neat and easy to use. Not having to put up with anything. ?
