Seat belt sensor sticks

I give a lift to my wife in the mornings. When she gets out and I drive off the seat belt warning bong comes on sometimes. Really annoying. The sensor must stick somehow. I need to stop and beat the seat with my palms for the sound to eventually stop. (Basil Fawlty comes to mind)

Anyone else has experienced this? Any solutions out there?
