The only thing persuading me to take mine to a dealer for the services will be keeping the warranty and breakdown cover. I've serviced all my own vehicles for nigh on 30 years, it breaks my heart to hand anything over to a "vehicle technician"

Sometimes that record can be important so you have little choice.
Even if the routine servicing is done by a dealer, I still favour doing the likes of a brake job myself just to know that it's been done properly.
