Slow charge port cover.

Im thinking of getting one - is there a significant chance that the points of contact to the car might introduce microscratches?
I used one on my MG4 for 2.5 years and now on the MGS5 and have never noticed any micro-scratches. Mind you I wash my cars regularly and I'm careful how I put it on and off.

For me, life is too short to care. 50% of my driving is on single track Kent roads (for those that don't know, most of the rural roads in Kent, even within the M25, are single track, it's like a time warp to the 19C) and I am quite sure that I will have macro scratches, probably dents, before long 🤣

Edit moderator: Ham fisted attempt to "correct" 19C to 19thC reverted.

For living in the 19C you want to try Brittany. The 19C is modern. Shops close for 2 hours at lunchtime and the only shop open on Sundays is the boulangerie for a couple of hours so the French can get their daily bread and the rush hour consists of 4 cars on the same stretch of road.

If a bank holiday falls on a Tuesday (bank holidays are on a set date not the nearest Monday) a lot of businesses will take the Monday off as well.

Down here we call it the "Devon Rash", the scratches cars get down their left hand side from all the lane hedges.

It seems to me that at 1:17 this morning, a moderator edited my post from "19C" (as quoted by mdiox) to "19th C" (as quoted by tsedge.)

I do rather object to my posts being moderated unnecessarily (I mean, I get it if it was filled with expletives, racism or paedophilia, but a spelling correction?) but I really object to them being moderated from correct to incorrect!!!

Odd as he/she didn't alter my post when I used 19C . Perhaps they thought I was referring to 19 degrees Centigrade 🤣

Oops, Mia Culpa!

Is 19C some sort of area code then? I'll admit that I really had no idea what you meant. I'll put it back.

Edit: Or is this a reference to British legislation?

To be honest it wasn't until I read the whole sentence in context that I realised it meant the 19th century and looking on line sometimes its a capital C and other times its a small c and to confuse everyone more the C can go before the 19 (C19).
