Its also interesting because French public utility vehicles are usually of French or at least European origin. Add on the tariffs for Chinese especially SAIC electric cars and there must have been some interesting conversations in the procurement department?

MG 4: Electric car reports for police duty in France

The new MG 4 electric rear-wheel drive hatchback is now being used as a marked police car by officers in France.

Looks like this started a few years ago, and they are a genuine patrol vehicle, not a donated x power for PR purposes. They went for the 51 kWh battery pack apparently, which I think makes sense when using public money.
