Software update pre-heater relay

I guess you got yours from Fredrikstad Autocenter? They called me yesterday regarding this problem but i did not get any time for when to fix so i guess i will remove fuse 13 tomorrow.

Bilgarasjen på Tunejordet. Not sure if they have a workshop there, might need to go to Fredrikstad. They also called me, but I was inaccessible.

As for now, I'm not sure what the downside of removing the fuse is...

Well, my car has now been fixed. The extreme fan noise I was complaining about is definitely still there. I might just remove that fuse again, it's been a nice and quiet week, lol.

I got mine "fixed" the other day. The car is now named "blåsebelgen" due to the exstreme sound from the fan... It is blowing loud until the cabin temp is reached the setting then it calms down. I don`t like it at all, too noisy!

That's rather interesting! They say not all cars need the update, maybe mine was never faulty and yours was. But are we talking during pre heating or also when the car is "idling"? Mine never shuts up, even after longer drives.

Try to lower the cabin temp setting to 20-21 degree. It will still heat up because it is cold outside but mybe it will stop blowing earlier. I was a trip in to Særp today, it was blowing most of the way but when the cabin was heated up the noisy blowing also stopped. I set the temp to 20 degree, usually i had it to 22 but now i will try 20-21 and see. Regarding, not all cars need the update. Who told you? Fredrikstad autocenter?

Yes, the dealership says it. I can't find the initial communication from MG, but didn't it say something like "some cars"? Maybe it's just a phrasing that they use...

My fan acts crazy regardless of climate settings, it seems.
