Hello.

This sound, similar to steam going out, lasts for a long time when I park in my garage after I have been using the air-conditioning for cold temperature in an urban itinerary.

I stop the sound by pressing again the lock key. Then the alarm goes off (5 or 6 loud honks).

Is this normal?

Thanks.

It may be somethng cooling down (or winding down slowly) using a sensor/thermostat, so probably best to leave it and see how long it takes to stop (rather than force stop).

On my ICE Audi the fan used to stay on for two or three minutes in hot weather after locking the car.

I don't think it's abnormal to hear such sounds when the system shuts down.

My MG4 always does stuff and makes noises after parking up. I can tell the car is doing stuff because my phone will connect to the CarPlay dongle up to several minutes after parking up and walking past the car.

Depending on your specific version of MG4 you may be able to tell if the car is still cooling/running the aircon because the front grill flaps will be open. Of course this will only work if the car can close them (I believe SE doesn't have this function).

The alarm you mention is the car indicating its presence for the 'Finding My Car's option. You activate it by pressing the lock button when the car is already locked. You can set it to give indicator flashing or horn sounding.
