Speech Steering Wheel Button Not Working

The button on my steering wheel has stopped working. It used to work ok but over the past couple of weeks it will not operate. Any ideas?

Mine only works on my MG5 if you had the phone wired in not on Bluetooth

Button only works if Android Auto or Apple Car play is up and running

What does it say exactly? For Android Auto to call the right number, you have to say it exactly as the numbers are saved in your phone and if you are calling any foreign sounding name, AA will have trouble getting it right if at all .. this is down to the settings on your phone and AA voice recognition, not the car.

I find that you have to have your phone plugged in or connected via a wireless dongle to the left USB port and then the button will wok, but you have to press it for a second or two before it reacts.

On mine it's the right one, the bigger one, USB-A port

Yes sorry the right one is correct, my mistake, must have been a senior moment.

Hi Thanks for all the information ,
i have found that the button on the steering wheel only works when the car is moving
spent a lot of frustration trying to work it out was not until i was heading home that i tried it
