Squeaky wipers ....

Has anyone else got these?

Probably worth replacing with decent branded ones - I’m assuming the sizes are in the manual somewhere?

Check you don’t have a piece of trapped ice or grit causing the squeak as this could scratch your windscreen.
Also if you have a high concentration of washer fluid the alcohol can dry out the rubber causing a squeak.
Try cleaning your blades with warm soapy water and after drying wiping the blades with a little rubber lubricant.

They get a lot of use in the UK!

Ok, so I’ve looked in the manual and there’s no mention of the sizes, other than to say that replacement should be of the correct specification - with no mention of what that is! The drivers size is a nominal 60cm (24 inch), with the passenger side 35cm (13 inch). So, what to do next? 😕

Yes. That was the first thing I did!
All the specialist sites either don’t list the model at all, or have nothing suitable.
I‘ve contacted MG via their form asking for info. I might bring this up on the blog call tomorrow...... 😕

I wonder of they are the same as the ICE version?

I’ve tried using an ICE ZS reg number but that doesn’t help much either ......

The title of that article is a bit misleading, in the article it says spray the moving parts with silicone lubricant, not the blades.
I wouldn't lubricate the actual blades with anything or they tend to slide and judder rather than flip over as they wipe in different directions.

During the cold weather, I found the wiper blades to be a bit stiff and inflexible. Was thinking of swapping them for something else, but none of the usual subjects seem to be stocking anything aftermarket yet.

All the long, one piece, flexible ones are the same, my Prius is.

The weather has now improved today, so I have just passed a tape measure over the front wiper blades on my car.
The lager drivers side blade is 24 inches ( from tip to tip when flat against the glass ) the actual rubber surface length is slightly smaller.
The smaller passengers side is 14 inches ( from tip to tip when flat against the glass ) the actual rubber surface length is slightly smaller.
The "Halfords" website have them at 24" & 18" - Clearly this is incorrect ?.
