Phew the standard Bridgestone tyres saved me today from kerbing my nearside alloy, I just rubbed against a kerb and felt the contact, thinking oh god!! , got out of the car and not a mark on the wheel ? glad the standard tyres have rim protection ?

Yet to experience on XP (due in couple of weeks) but my Seat Leon ST came with same tyres and then went to Bridgestone All-Weather equivalent on the front for better wet/winter handing - the protection they give to the rims is great and never had any scuffing issues despite a few bumps...?

Will prob do same upgrade on the new motor before year end.
