I expect that your peak rate at home will be a lot less than at most public chargers, so maybe not so bad?

HVAC should pull about 7kW I think so will be the HV battery.

That's a lot of hot air...
I suspect less given how much a house fan heater can put out at max 3kw from a plug...

The op was asking if 30% charge setting is too low to prevent remote heating from functioning. To which I would say yes it is and is very much on the cautious side. I can understand to a degree (get it?) why it has been done though.
