Im just a bout to get a MG4 or MGS5 (my wife cant decide....) and I stood on this, this morning.

MG wants us to pay £500-plus to remedy rogue electric car

After charging, there was a power system malfunction but MG closed the case and insisted a safety check was at our own expense

Has anyone experienced the car accelerating fast without warning?
I’ve just tried to park, took my foot off the accelerator and the car shot forward. Just checked and it has hit the parking bollard, denting the front bumper a little.
Did the ACC kick in?
Felt it did this earlier too.
Another scary experience. I’m shaking.

Don't let sensationalist stories put you off by the anti-EV press. The same thing has been happening with automatic ICE vehicles for years and it's usually down to the driver pressing the accelerator pedal at the same time as the brake pedal.
