The Marvel X is a fully electric SUV manufactured by the Chinese manufacturer SAIC group under the brand Roewe, and the car has made its India debut at the ongoing Auto Expo 2020.

The Marvel X is a fully electric SUV manufactured by the Chinese manufacturer SAIC group under the brand Roewe, and the car has made its India debut at the ongoing Auto Expo 2020. The MG Marvel X is the production version of the Vision E Concept, that debuted earlier during the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show. It is available in two versions, rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, both with a 52.5 kWh battery pack and two motors.

The Marvel X electric SUV is powered by two electric motors, one with 114 bhp and one with 70 bhp, and while one motor is fitted over the front axle, the latter over the rear axle. The SUV offers a range of over 400 km on a single charge and the battery pack takes 8.5 hours to be fully charged using an AC charger, and 80 per cent juice on 40 minutes using a DC charger.

At least it is soon coming to Norway. They are very hush-hush about the launching and we do not know any details other than it will be 4x4. They say may 2021. The question is: Will it be the Marvel X or the Marvel R ??

In any case, I'm sure the thing would be pricey in Norway.......starting at at least NOK 500,000.

I have done a bit of recearche on this issue since the MG-dealer in Trondheim told me there will be a SUV at the size of a PHEV coming this spring. MG are keeping the cards close to their chest and they tell me to be patient. What I have found so far , is that there are allready a model : MG Marvel X presented on a Auto show in India 2020. It is the size of a PHEV and 4x4 will be possible. Range will be near 400km.
So far, so good, but there is also coming a new model in 2021 called : Roewe/MG Marvel R. It is much the same as the X, but the front is different, and the range more like 500km.
So here I am, waiting for more info. Why Saic Motor want to keep it such a secret, I do not understand. My dealer promis it will be in Norway this spring, so I am waiting. We have decided to change from 2 cars to one. We allready have a PHEV and the MG..

Good Luck, I will see my dealer this week. May be there are new details. The price is of course also secret, but my guestimate is NOK 400.000 +.

the PHEV is MG HS PHEV, with a 16.6kwh battery, it is called MG eHS in china.

Marvel R is thus one, IT belongs to a new brand, R AUTO.

IT will be launched in February, in china, with At least 500km NEDC range.

I have seen several videos on YouTube regarding the Marvel X Both it's Roewe branded version and more recently the MG version.

Is the Marvel R a different animal all together or have they abandoned the X for the R?
It looks like they've taken design cues from the Xpeng G3 with the Marvel R to be honest.

Roewe is the brand only sold in China by Saic Auto. MG is the brand they will sell in Europe. This is why it all is a bit mysterious at the moment. There is a large Auto Show in Europe in January. May be we will see something there.
Marvel R, look a lot like the Porche SUV.
My PHEV is a Mitsubishi.

In Asia, they have full app and internet capabilities in the ZS EV. The reason we don't have it in Europe is mainly because of the EU's regulation of data. For us to get the full package (the software is there in the car), we would need a server in Europe to comply with EU regulations regarding personal data leaving the EU.
