Absolutely agree with all the annoying gremlins, big BUT though, the S5 is one of the nicest cars to drive, it's very comfortable, giving none of the aches and pains of recent other cars I've owned, like Volvo, Hyundai Tucson, Skoda Superb and Passat, now 3 months in, 2 trips to the main dealer for poor performing ACC, (not fixed) but I've found a way around most of the niggles, like not using the shit auto dipping headlights and reverting to use them in the time honoured fashion of dipping with the steering wheel stalk. and at a bargain basement price of £24 grand. We had ours for 3 months, over 8000kms, and experience all the same niggles. Not sure how long we'll keep it or what would replace it.
That said, I can't find anything else I'd rather own that drives as well, is RWD, similar size, as comfortable, with the same long warranty and at a similar price point.
I'm not convinced there's anything to beat the value for money, plus it goes like furk when you floor the loud pedal.
