It’s time to say farewell to this forum after three years of happy driving in my MG4. I’m waiting for the finance company to let me know when they’ll be collecting it but today I’m collecting my MGS5.

Maybe I was fortunate not to suffer problems similar to those people who were also early owners, I only had need to go back to the dealer once for a motor fault light which was fixed foc. When the car does go back it will have had its three services and it also passed its MoT, although I have knackered the under tray. Probably going through a deep puddle too fast, that’s being repaired this week.

All in all I’ve had a very positive experience.

I’ll see you on the other side, well the MGS5 forum.

So, you aren't actually leaving, just moving to another thread title .... At last, someone who owned an MG4, was happy with it and bought another MG ..... reading through some of the posts on here, you are a member of a very rare breed ;)
Congratulation on the new vehicle and looking forward to your thoughts on this one .....

Most have zero issues with the MG4. Forums attract the tiny minority who either a) have genuine problem b) think they have a problem but is user error (mostly) or c) tb=hose who are trolls throwing rocks at a brand they don't own, have personal interest in another brand(s) or are simply jealous.

You mean, the views shared on this forum are not a true representation of all MG4 owners

"Man bites dog" isn't it?

People who quietly enjoy their cars don't have interesting stories to tell.

Those experiencing some sort of nonsense situation have a lot to tell!

Most of us seem to get on fine barring a few minor niggles that you'd probably get with any car or dealership.

I join forums to gather and share information about a car (or product).
Yeah, its a great resource.

Some people have got very upset when we've pointed out that their disappointing experience hasn't been shared by everyone. It doesn't mean they didn't have their experience, but it is important not to let the outliers be taken as representing the truth.

See also the current view of London as a crime-infested war-zone on crazy right-wing social media vs. the reality for those living there.

For some reason, the internet can sometimes cause people to completely lose perspective rather than gaining more.

Hard to know what to do except to keep sharing experiences here and elsewhere.

You forgot D) those that are absolute fan boys, that have a car and have to poo poo everyone else's issues with tales of how perfect their car is or have the temerity to accuse anyone critical of the car of being a troll, eejit😁
