Tire dimension - will 225/55R17 fit?

I am searching for new tires for the car (wich I haven´t home yet) and wondering if 225/55/R17 will fit, the rim is ET40.

This is the tyre spec from the UK owner manual

You're looking at an 8.6% increase in diameter of 2.2" (56 mm) and speedometer error of about the same (70 mph indicated = 76 mph actual) and an extra width of 4.7% or 0.4" (10 mm).
