I hope to have a Dynamic Red GT by the end of the month. My last MG was an MG F in the late 90's, a fun car to drive but not the best built car. Since then I have had two BMW Z4s, an Audi TTS and just sold my Audi TT RS. I have been patiently waiting for an EV roadster and was sold after loaning a GT for three days.

I suspect it will be a steep learning curve, but for those of you who own a Cyberster, are there any tips for a new EV/Cyberster owner, or things you wished you had known.

PS. I must confess I have not seen a Cyberster on the road but when I had the loan car it certainly attracted the attention of my neighbours :)

Enjoy your new motor. 🙂👍

#1 - turn off welcome message - right screen
#2 - turn off speed limit change beep - centre console screen
#3 - press the brake pedal on entering the car to activate the chair moving fwds/back for easy entry
#4 - the doors may not open when parked on a slope
#5 - apple car play is slow to kick in, drive for about a minute or 2 before it realises that it's trying to connect
#6 - take out the wind deflector when driving with the roof up - so i leave it out all winter
#7 - enjoy the ride

still haven't seen another one on the road and I've been driving this as my daily since launch. Attracts a lot of attention, especially from kids when the doors open.

Good list of cars there. Wouldn't have minded an Audi TT RS at some point. I drove the Cyberster twice and although it's fast it doesn't make you want to drive fast. Very smooth ride. I could cruise all over the country in it I reckon. Just waiting for further price drops.

I would cycle to ACC every time i get in and turn off Lane Keep Assist. Hopefully there will be an update to have it off permanently.

Welkom !!!

My advice: get in the car - put your seat and mirrors in the right position - put on your seat belt - press the brake pedal with your left foot and the accelerator pedal all the way down with your right foot (wait until the blue rocket lights up) and release the brake pedal. Have fun.
I don't want another car anymore 🤣👍

Had ours since last September, still haven't seen one on the road. Tips you have received so far are bang on and cover everything I have found. Think most drivers are old MG lovers like me who have forgotten how unreliable they were! Just driven ours through Europe to Greece had a football crowd around it boarding the ferry in Italy! Again didn't see one on our trip. Last car was a Porsche Taycan, wouldn't touch a Porsche again, battery went in Europe took 8 months to fix CS was awful.
Prefer the Cyberster.

To the forum. 🙂👍

You will need to consider charging. There are many opinions on this but I would say:
Charging at home is best. Depending on your use, you may need to have a 7 kWh charging point fitted
For charging points on the road, use an app such as Zapmap, ABRP or Electroverse. Google maps also shows chargers.
I prefer using the charging company's app for payment, as it's more reliable than contactless, but you will need to research which ones you will need.
Get an Electroverse card, it's free.
Depending on your usage, consider a Zapmap or Tesla subscription.
Welcome to EVs. Enjoy the acceleration!
