Towing

Is anyone thinking of using the IM6 for towing? It has a braked capacity of 1500kg and, like most EVs, should prove very capable with its considerable weight and torque. However, I understand that MG has yet to provide details of an IM6 specific towbar. Ideally, I would like to see an electrically deployable version, which is completely hidden from view when not in use.

I don't know what they will bring to market but I do know they will bring something- previously MG/IM left towbars to 3rd parties but this policy has now been changed.

Having given up on the Idea of having roof bars the only option left would be a box on the tow bar.
I looked everywhere yesterday and couldn't find anything besides an iffy Chinese site where from what I could understand was a 3d party one

How long does it usually take for MG to release tow bars? I presume you would have to take it back to the dealer since work will have to be done on the car, bumper removal etc?

Not sure how they will take, previously we had to go to 3rd parties. Yes, presumably it will
be dealer-only fit.
