A week or two ago, a warning that the tyre pressure monitoring system failed appear. All the tyres have the correct pressure (checked with a gauge) but the system isn't reading anything. I tried the spanner disconnect battery trick with no luck.

The car was in for a yearly maintenance at the beginning of February but the fault showed up over a month later. I do not have time to take it in for the next 3 or so weeks so I was wondering if someone had seen this before and could suggest a possible fix?

Thank you

Does the warning light flash or stay solid? Also, have you added anything into the car, such as a GPS or high output charger? Sometimes these can interfere with the signal from the TPMS. If you can't get to the dealer for a while, you could take it to a Kwik Fit branch and ask them to check the sensors are live - they have a tool that 'pings' each one. It may be that one has died and is triggering the fault.
Or - you can try to force a recalibration through the steering wheel controls:

  1. Turn the vehicle on (Ready mode).
  2. Use the UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT buttons on the right-hand side of the steering wheel to navigate to the Setting menu.
  3. Scroll to the TPMS Monitor or Tyre Pressure screen.
  4. Long-press the OK button. On some software versions, this triggers a "Learning" mode.
  5. Drive the car immediately after for 10-15 mins at at least 20 MPH
