Trophy aero trims

Found a spare on eBay with rear pics, looks like torx bolts holding from rear, will whip my wheels off when I get chance.

That's a lot of torx bolts. I can imagine the look on the tyre fitters face when he has to undo 15 bolts to remove the tyre especially if they are filled with crud and I bet not all 15 go back.

Can you post photos of each stage?

A tyre fitter wouldn't need to remove these to fit a tyre. 🤔

Got the trims off, now to try wrapping, saw a post on face ache saying they pulled theirs off, don’t believe everything you read on social media.

Looking forward to seeing the finished look.

So unlike the MG4 where it is a plain alloy wheel with a full face aero cover clipped on these are plastic inserts attached by torx screws.

1st attempt at wrapping and not sure how long they’ll stay on as trimmed around the edges, only bought a small amount to test, may need to buy a larger amount and overlap at the back of the cover for longevity. Will whip the wheel off now and take another pic shortly to see if I continue with the other wheels.

The chrome effect isn't to my taste. A brushed steel wrap might look better but you'd have to be careful of the grain direction.
