A few days ago I saw a post, either on here or facebook, from someone in England selling 4 wheels for an MG5 Trophy. I wasn't interested at the time but now I want them and I can't find the post anywhere. Did anyone else see it and can point me in the right direction?

Later that day.....
Found it on facebook.

Anyone know what the list price of a new wheel would be from MG?

Thanks, I was looking for him but didn't find the post until a bit after I asked the question.
Hi Kevin, I don't know your timeframe, but I'll shortly have a set of Trophy wheels available, as new with less than 600 miles on them, once I get around to swapping mine out to a VW set. I've just had hernia surgery, so am immobile for a few weeks.

Wheels only, as tyres are going on my other set, but the price will be a "no brainer" as they say! I'm thinking £500 for the set of 4.

No idea of wheel price from MG, but I'd guess retail, in the region of £300 to £500 per wheel. For example, similar VW group size wheels are usually about £600 per wheel retail.

That's really interesting, Christopher was asking £750 including part worn tyres and I dont really need all 4. Will yours still have the TPMS sensors on them? £500 is a better outlay and gives me the chance to ebay the others.
Also, if you find someone who only wants one or two then I'm happy to buy whatever is left.
Sorry to hear you are immobile. I am not in any great rush. Where are you?

Sadly no sensors as they'll be getting swapped over to the new wheels along with the tyres.

That's fine. Just asking. I'll be swapping the one over that I have anyway. I am definitely interested, let me know when you think they will be available and we can sort out a day for me to come up.

Did you ever get rid of these wheels? I'm still looking for one.
Ha!, No, not got around to swapping them over yet, bought a new house and it's taken over my life at the moment!! When I do get them swapped, I'll be looking to sell all 4 together though. It's further complicated now by the fact they have early signs of white worm corrosion already, under the diamond cut areas, so I may well need to get a new set under warranty prior to swapping them over to my new wheels as nobody will want to buy a set (for anything other than peanuts anyway!) with corrosion present!

Moving house can certainly take over your life. Make sure you let us know on here if you get round to getting them changed by MG and want to sell them on.
I wouldn't leave it too long before approaching MG - they do seem to like trying to wriggle out of warrantee claims.

It's not just moving house, we've bought a large house in the country that I'm renovating, then we move, then we sell the current house, so it's utterly overwhelming at present!

I'll certainly give you a shout when they're finally ready.
