Hi folks I have just taken ownership of an our first EV trophy model. Looking for some advice on two quewtions

Needing some advice I just arrived at charging station which has. 50KW charger however one was marked DC CCS and the other is marked CHAdeMO. Is there a difference between both as in compatibility with car and if so is one quicker than than the other.” CHAdeMO—- JUST REALISED ITS NOT A COMPATIBLE SOCKET “

My next question is…as you know no tether cables issue wish thy just added it into price of car! Anyway can you use a 3 phase one 22kw with 7.5Kw standard public chargers and home chargers

Hi, your MG has a CCS DC socket.
If you have a 22kW 3 phase cable then it will work on your home EVSE and public ones.
You may even get 11kWh on some units.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new MG4 Trophy! The CHAdeMO standard was developed in Japan, but is not compatible with our cars. The CCS is the one you want to use.

Look at the charge port in your car - if there are physical pins inside the L2/L3 slots then you car supports 3-phase charging (at up to 11kW).
