Tyre woes

Monday morning.... when your screen shows one thing, but your eyesight shows another.

Thats a bummer, i assume that is last recorded pressure from last use when they would have been working and tyre deflated since.

I inflated it yesterday morning with an air compressor, and it was as flat again by the evening <8 PSI (I hadn't driven it). I inflated it again this morning and 3.5 hours later - flat again. Just reinflated it a third time and drove it to the garage to have the tyre replaced. The screen was still showing 244 kPA on the same 3 tyres. Only the OSF showed any different (and it's the OSR that's flat!).

£135 for a like-for-like Bridgestone T005 tyre replacement.

If your tyres have ever been swapped from front to rear this will cause the readout to be opposite.

They could have fixed that !

I had a larger screw than that removed and repaired.

Snap. Tyre place said they could repair it in the morning. Glad I bought my proper jack now. Although I had a nightmare placing the axel stand, any advice for where it should go? Oh and how the hell do you get the car to go into neutral with the handbrake off? I wanted to push it back a bit myself, but every time I opened the door the handbrake came back on.

Try climbing over the passenger seat and exiting throught the passenger door ! I've heard a few people say this works but not had to try it myself

I almost did that!!! Thought it wouldn't work though, that's mad.

Opening the driver's door automatically applies the parking brake.

You could however open the driver's window, use a stick to press the brake pedal, and then reach over and select N on the drive selector.

I think I'll just get the missus to sit in and put in neutral and I'll push it if I need to do it again.

It's totally nuts. So it's not possible to do what the manual says then? "Ensure BPB is released", "ensure no passengers are in the vehicle"

Sorry I'm late to reply - in answer to the question as to why I didn't get the tyre repaired. One word. AUTOPROTECT. I own the car (not leased) and have tyre & wheel cover that paid out the full cost of a replacement tyre under insurance.
