I think my car claims around 218 but I got slightly over 200 in my trophy slightly over a week ago and I always drive with ac on 1.

The original Trophy was 271 .. and 278 for the SE LR. :)

(The double spoiler actually harms range rather than helping .. or maybe it's the kick-up on the hatch of the SE that helps with range; the Trophy doesn't have that kick-up).

No
It's the SR that claims 218 miles (in your dreams). I think the Trophy claims something like 279 (from memory).
Not in your dreams. I have a 72 plate SE SR and I have been from Bristol London and back without the need to stop to recharge. Must be at least 218 miles of mostly M4

I've also found that Cruise Control at a lower speed gives you way more if you keep your foot off the accelerator.
Indeed - I love the ACC but my wife hates it. On a long motorway run with me driving and v.rarely touching the brake or accelerator I can get at least 0.2 miles/KWh more than her. It’s the constant speeding up and slowing down that ruins efficiency.

The problem with ACC (on the MG4) is it accelerates far too aggressively. It should be tuned to match mode the car is in (Eco/Normal/Sport etc). Or, (like with most of my moanings) be similar to Hyundai (and other cars) where acceleration pickup is customisable. I still use it, as I’m lazy. But it should be me driving aggressively (guilty your honour) not the car itself.

The longest day trips I've taken in my Trophy LR from 100% have been, 190 mls with 32%, 88 mls predicted range left (4.7 mls/kWh indicated), and more recently, 178 mls with 33% 71 mls predicted range left (4.4 mls/kWh indicated).
I regularly take trips of 100 mls, which takes between 37% to 50% of battery capacity depending on the time of year. As these are weekend trips I have time to recharge back to 80% before I return.
