Unbinding to rebind this is the question

Hi all,
I'm looking to change phones mainly due to my new wireless android Auto doesn't want to play ball! So i have another that is compatible. Is it a simple task to unbind and then rebind with the new phone. I don't want to transfer all my stuff from one to the other and then cause myself a load of grief.

yes thanks i was about to reply to my own question and as you say it was surprisingly sort of easy once you can find the QR code.There's always that fear of causing lots of headache!

You don't need to do anything with binding when you change phones. Binding links the car to your account on the app. As long as you log on to that account with your new phone it will be connected to the car. In fact you can have more than one phone in use (but it will log out the 1st phone when you log in with the 2nd).

thanks for that. you're correct it had me a little confused when i unbinded from one to the new, only to find that both phones would still connect.
