Under bonnet sound insulation

When I went to top up the washer fluid I noticed there was no sound insulation under the bonnet. I know some MG4s had it, mine was one of them, but others were missing. Have MG done away with it altogether on the MGS5s?

On closer inspection, there appears to be several holes which look as if they're for a sound insulation pad.

That's what I thought and AliExpress sell the insulation pad. I guess the accountants got involved

That was my thought, there is no noisy engine in there.

The same reason my MG4 had it. I guess it's to reduce road noise and stop any resonance

My 1st gen 4 didn't have it , but the version in the showroom did . I pointed this out and it was fitted FOC under warranty

Not a problem on the S5. Nice and quiet.

Apologies , I though my input might help as the MG4 had similar patchiness as far as some cars having the insulation and some not . I'll keep my nose out in future
