USB C issue

Hi,

I bought a slightly used MG4 Trophy (72 number plate) back in January, I have been having problems using the USB C charging port. I was told by the dealership that this is due to me having an Iphone 15 pro and they draw too much power. Has anyone else had this issues?

I don't know about "drawing too much power" but the USB-C port only delivers very limited power. I don't use it. I have changed to USB A and converter in cigarette lighter plug.

What problems? Charging or using it as a music source? You must use a high speed lead (which I assume a USB-C lead is).
Others have reported on this forum about the low power output of the USB-C socket. If you are charging, I would use the cigarette lighter with a USB-A adaptor, as webhiker wrote, or try the back USB-A socket, which may give the highest power of the USB ports.
