I purchased Ottocast wireless adapter cp82 u2-air pro carplay for my Mg EHS 2021.

The device drained the car battery since the usb port stays on. Any suggestions?

I noticed the device usb port (direct link into infotainment for updates etc) stays live all the time. I have to use it for my wireless Android Auto adapter (great not relying on a cable...) but just unplug it if I don't want it to automatically connect to my phone, could you not do the same when the car is not in use? No idea what your adapter does or was purchased to do. Plus, for it to drain a car battery, jeez what is it pulling or is the battery suspect??
