MG ZS EV
One cable has 427 ohms and the other 676 ohms
Apologies for my knees

One from Amazon
Amazon product ASIN B0BPFY2N62other Ebay

Does anyone have a genuine MG V2L: cable and used on an MG ZS EV? and if so could they report the resistance

Screens from car version etc

Should I perform a factory reset?

Firmware versions?

I tried with / without load

Afterwards I did have trouble starting and moving off. I had to turn off, get out lock doors, get in start , wait and then reverse. It does this sometimes after charging fails to go into drive or reverse.

Build year - There are a lot of cables labelled 2022-12

Bosch VCU also says similar. I've reached the 10 picture limit

Hi, this thread mentions a 2K resistor?

Can you measure the resistance on your cable between PE / CC(PP)

Someone said that if the inverter has 1147314 it might mean no V2L. Not verified by any other independent means.

Here is one adapter that's brilliant and fully functional

Hi, my V2L does not work. I have a very new 2nd hand MG ZS EV LR Trophy (2023 March, 23 reg), with the above 11473414 and 11209690 modules and I have tried 400, 600 and 2000 Ohm and none worked. My Entertainment System version is SW17-29176-1300R17. Anyone had their module(s) swapped by dealer for free and worked?

see that post above yours - there are some adaptors on eBay for about £20 and they are apparently different for 2022 and 2023 ZS models - don't know the details of it but I ordered 2022 for my model, they said I can send it back if it doesn't work (obviously if still as new and my postage). Might try that, you never know ?

Thanks, but I told MG Perth Scotland and my sales rep actually tested it with their cable and confirm my V2L function does not work, just want to know if they are still getting it fix for free as they say they are still dealing with MG HQ. I hope they can swap the module for free and does not come up with some excuse for not swapping it. I was listening to the live podcast last night and was temp to ask Miles but I was having dinner at the same time so I dinnae ask. I screenshot their website about V2L just in case they say ZS EV don't have V2L.

I tried to buy this adapter the other day off ebay for my 2023 MG ZS EV 51kWh Trophy model & they refunded my money within twenty minutes saying it will not work with my model  It has the discharge option on the infotainment screen.

I have actually bought a type 2 adaptor, a 15M 16A cable and splash proof double socket with a 2000 ohm "inside the socket" so I can swap it out and change it easier than opening the type 2 adaptor as most of them are one time push and hook type and impossible to reopen without some kind of brute force. Also I was told the ZS EV does not like the double socket one with a trip-out Circuit breaker button, say they don't seem to work, but I got that anyway in case I need a quicker "kill switch".

I ordered mine here

The same guy is selling on eBay but slightly more expensive. For £15 + £5 postage, I'll see how it goes with mine and let you guys know.

There is version for 2023 model apparently but email them and ask...

Soooo, good news, worked out of the box 😀👍

Embarrassing to get my toaster out in the street, used battery charger to test.

That's cool, battery charger better than toaster ! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: if you try hard, maybe a shaver or cup warmer? We should have a photo competition to show what you can do with V2L!:LOL:

But I still think my car needs to get the 11473414 swapped out to the 11505199 in order for it to work. What module version have you got in your car?

I don't know, I can have a look now if you know where to look for it?

EDIT: Looking at the labels others posted, I think I found it - mine is 11254241

Huh. Does that mean that some people have had their on-board charger updated the expensive way (by replacing the entire EVCC / on-board charger)?

Or am I misunderstanding the numbers? [ Edit: I was! Sigh.]

Or maybe only certain third party V2L adapters, and not the official MG ones, work with the 11473414 on-board charger?

I'm new to all this and looking at the different labels posted here, they all say Charge: blah, blah and Discharge: blah, blah - meaning that whatever version number we have, it's meant to Discharge too ... from what I gather so far, each model ZS likes specific adaptor - don't know the insides of it but the module is supposed to discharge as it says on the tin (!). If it doesn't work with few different (simple) adaptors, I would claim under warranty as the module (or whatever else) is likely defective and needs fixing.

I would first blame it on the garages/dealers not being up to scratch with their knowledge yet ...

I just paid the £20 adaptor to try on my car, but I think my 11473414 does not work with any V2L cables or any adaptors, but worth trying 1 more instead of waiting 6 months for a no answer from dealer to swap out. I think somewhere mentioned chip shortage as some version of the module does not have the control chip for discharging?

@fred12345 You've got a different version number for the EVCC module to mine so I guess your car depends on the software update + resistor ohm value rather than the hardware like mine had.

You'd think that, certainly. But it seems that there is more to it, perhaps there is some sort of firmware incompatibility, who knows.

It may just be that the label on the 11473414 EVCCs is misleading (hopefully unintentionally) when it gives an AC discharge rating. The DC rating for the charger input, being the same as the AC voltage rating, also makes little sense. It may be a translation problem, though that seems unlikely.
