Vehicle Control System Fault, Please Stop Safely!

Hi all,

Anyone has encountered this msg before?

I was charging it on home granny charger as usual and after it's been charged (and left it for a while on charger after finished as usual) it displayed this msg and doesn't want to go even after restarting.

Yikes! There is at least one other thread reporting this, but as far as I recall the fault went away after locking and unlocking the car. Or maybe after disconnecting and re-connecting the 12v.

ETA: Here's the thread. I'm not going to merge this at the moment because it might be a completely different issue. Have a read anyway.

Vehicle Control System Fault

Hi guys, Only had my XPower for a few days, 150 miles on the odo. Just done a short trip up the road (first time driven in the rain) and the car was repeatedly putting itself into limp mode with the error "Vehicle Control System Fault. Take Vehicle to MG Dealer" Regenerative braking also...

Some people have indeed reported this as a temporary fault that clears.

If it persists, contact your dealer urgently.

If you've disconnected the granny charger from the car, locked the car, had a coffee and restarted the car and tried to drive it a couple of yards and it still persists call your dealer.
