One unexpected bonus I get, in built up areas, is the number of waves and smiles I receive from passing toddlers. They clearly love the colour and, in turn, that brightens my day - and I can almost sense the car smiling back!

Apart from my partner, everyone who's an adult has hated my Orange MG4. I did get from my 6 year old girl "ooh, that's much nicer orange than I thought it would be". So it does appear the kids are more happy than the adults.

I've always liked gold coloured cars, but it appears this is another colour society doesn't like either.

Personally, I think they point and think, Ooo, is that the 435 bhp 620nm 0-60 in 3.7 secs AWD X Power, Performance bargain of the century, or is it the Trophy.

As a 76 yo recycled teenager then I’m in both camps. The tango’s I see pictures of here are lovely. The only one I’ve seen out on the road was filthy to the extent that, at first, I thought it was one of the old Vauxhall faded tomato red cars. Yeuch

When we were looking for a new car, my wife saw the orange, said that it looked like a Lambo and thats the only colour she would accept. I had a Green/Black Fabia before so wanted to carry on the "easy to find in a car park" vibe also. Orange is the best colour for an MG4.

Volcano Orange is a Marmite colour - you either like it or hate it. Personally I think it looks best on the ER with the black roof.

lol Funny enough I spoke to them and they sent confirmation it was not a problem.

I got another friend who was getting rid of his MG4 to call up and ask first in case they said no lol.

Of course if there was an accident there would magically be no roof rack on the car
