Just been on my regular shopping jaunt, over twisty and sometimes bumpy roads. Today noticed the ride quality was quieter and more supple than previously on the same road, even, dare I say it, very slightly wallowey? in places. The temperature is up around 26°C and the roads are warm, so I've put it down to this.
I have noticed this on previous cars, but all of these were at least 300 kg lighter so the effect was less pronounced, at least that's my way of thinking.
Anyone else noticed similar?

I check the pressures regularly and all are good, I'm putting it down to the oil in the dampers being less viscous with the warmth and letting the springs have a bit more movement.
Noticed the same effect on my previous motorbikes, again the heavier the bike the more pronounced the sensation. As bikes generally handle better in summer, not just warmer tyres, maybe this is the same, perhaps the MG designers had a specific temperature in mind where everything gelled, and as the temperature increases or decreases from this ideal there's a noticeable effect.
Could explain a lot of the thumping/rumbling noises mentioned in other posts, mainly in the cooler months, if the oil is thicker it may overdamp the springs their restricted movement instead transferring jolts (and noise) into the chassis.

A very interesting take on the car handling, I noticed a similar thing with my one, Trophy Long Range. At first I thought it just my imagination but it makes sense to me and it's something that I didn't think about.
Cheers for that.
