Warning light

One thing that is really annoying me about my MG4 even when I turn off the speed awareness I still get a warning light with a foot on a brake pedal along with a bong noise. It happens at the weirdest times, often with nothing in front of me or speeding - any suggestion on how to turn it off? It just flashes on at no particular time or reason

Thanks. I think that means your version has the revised software to default the speed warning to always being on?

Mine regularly flashes the "Speed Limit" warning on the display, usually because it has misinterpreted the actual speed limit*, however it doesn't annoy me as I don't have Audible alerts turned on for it.

I'm sorry but I don't recall exactly where I turned them off, but it is a "permanent" config setting for my version of the software.

I'd be right peeved if you can't do the same with your car!



*Ok, very occasionally I'm actually going faster than the limit, but it's rare Mum

I think the symbol you are seeing flashes up when you exceed whatever speed you have set in the drivers display settings screen for over speed warnings.

That makes sense ! So even if I am in a 40 mph area if I have set my display at 35 it will still flash at me thanks

Exactly, the one you set yourself will always warn you, regardless of what speed limit is recognised by the front facing camera. Personally I have it set at 125 kph, so it'll only ever pop up if I'm overtaking on the freeway. It's not that useful of a function I think.

Thanks all sorted now set at 99! I had it at 35
